Diesel Engine Fire Pump Controller

Category:

Diesel Engine Fire Pump Controller

The Nebras Diesel Engine Controller (NPM/NFPA20-D8 type) is designed and constructed per the NFPA20 standard for automatic and manual operation of diesel engine driven pumps. The components of the controller are installed in an enclosure with an ingress protection rated at IP55 or higher and is certified by E.P.I.L laboratories.

The diesel engine controller has both AC and DC power supply. The 220-volt AC voltage is used for the battery chargers’ power supply, the heater in the panel and the heater in the cooling system of the diesel motor. The 24-volt DC voltage is fed by two sets of diesel motor batteries for command circuit and control circuit.

  • For automatic and manual starting of fire-fighting diesel pumps
  • For supplying battery chargers and panel enclosure heaters
  • For the diesel engine cooling system heater
  • Control Signals (Battery Failure)
  • Engine Failed to Start Signal Light
  • Engine Over Speed Signal Light
  • Engine Low Oil Pressure Signal Light
  • Engine High Water Temperature Signal Light
  • Low Fuel Level Control Signal Light

Remote Signal Contacts:

These dry contacts are used for transferring remote signals to the control room. The signals used in the controller are as follows.

  • Battery charger or battery failure
  • Engine failed to start
  • Engine over speed
  • Engine low oil pressure
  • Engine high water temperature
  • Low fuel level in the fuel tank

All signals will be shown in the control room as a general fault.
